How about celebrating in style by having a 1920s Silent Movies inspired Hen Party? With this in mind, I couldn't resist doing a 1920s-style photo shoot with Rosa Fay Photography. Rosa, who is normally behind the camera, agreed to be my model. The colour versions of these photos are stunning, but this is all about the early days of film, so it had to be in black and white. I took these photographs in a dark room with spotlights, dressed Rosa in a 1920s dress from my collection and dropped crushed velvet behind her.

some 1920s inspired Hen Party ideas
To coincide with the launch of the new Silent Movies Wedding Blog and Stationery, created by me, Rachel Goodchild (which you can read all about HERE), I decided to use one of the photographs from the above shoot to make up a Hen Party Invitation (see below):
I was then very excited when I came across this film reel cake by The Custom Cake Company. A fantastic idea for a Silent Movies themed Hen Party! Rachel, from the Custom Cake Company, is passionate about creating unique bespoke cakes for all occasions. I think these are just great!
For Hen Party entertainment, forget about male strippers, how about some beautiful feminine burlesque dancers? Inspired by the showgirls of1930s New York, Keda Breeze offers choices of performances that would make any hen party one to remember. The White Swan performance is stunning!
