I had to chuckle reading that one of the on-trend wedding themes for 2013 is going to be the 1920's! This time last year I had a whole 1920's wedding range that I had designed to celebrate 100 years of making movies. I took my range to The Bristol Vintage Wedding Fair last spring and seemed to be the only stand with lots of black!  Now that I read it will be this years theme for 2013, I think I need to come up with some new designs for this year!

However, I thought I would share some photos and a movie I made from last year's Rachel Goodchild wedding range titled 'Silent Movies.'

Place names along the theme of silent movie making along with an old camera prop that I borrowed from my dad.

Vintage writing sets, pens and ink wells (again from my father), used to show my range of bespoke Thank You cards.

Bespoke Thank You cards for the bride and groom for after the wedding.

The 1920's type writer I picked up in a second hand shop (with case, manual and tools and all fully working). I use it as a display for my wedding blogs

Now that this style is about to become popular, I am off to design something else!

  1. Think it's due to the Great Gatsby re-release which has gone backwards from being a 2012 film to a 2013 film (may mean it didn't fancy going against Les Misérables in the awards) putting styles like Art Deco in the spotlight. Good timing to with The Artist being so popular last year. Nice work btw, Music Hall Memories is my favourite.
