THE MEWS LAUNCH OF JO MALONE LONDON'S NEW COLOGNE

What a delightful way to spend a Saturday afternoon! I attended The Mews fragrance launch event featuring the new Jo Malone London Osmanthus Blossom cologne. If the stunning fabrics and lovely aromas were not enough, I also found myself surrounded by the most sparkly shoes from Harvey Nichols, by designer Jimmy Choo.

The Mews - Bridal Gowns of Clifton Village, is simply a stunning wedding emporium. As you enter, you will see dresses by Suzanne Neville, Stephanie AllinJenny Peckham and others. There are rails of quality fabrics in beautiful textures, intricate beading work, pretty accessories in glass cabinets, and fresh floral displays by Edward Allen Flowers. The decor is calm and glamorous, and the the staff, overseen by owner Gail, are warm and welcoming. It is the kind of place that ladies travel long  distances to visit! On The Mews website it states: "The boutique will seduce you from the moment you walk through the door". Very true.

The air was filled with the aroma of Jo Malone London's fragrances and scented candles, all adding to the seduction on entering! The launch was for the the Osmanthus Blossom Cologne, a white flower fragrance that captures the duality of apricot counterpoised with supple leather and described by Jo Malone London as 'Luminous petitgrain and luscious peach and orange flower rippling over voluptuous cashmere wood'. Charlene Johnson, from Jo Malone London, was there with two delightful hand masseusses with the most fragrant of hand cremes. Prospective brides with their mothers were moving from hand massage to perfume testing, and then onto selecting dresses, disappearing into the luxurious dressing rooms.

A selection of sparkling Jimmy Choo shoes from the Bridal Boutique collection were placed in the window display. Crowds of women and, and in particular, young girls were stopping in the street and pointing at the shoes as they twinkled in the sunlight. The collection was on loan from Harvey Nichols, and Nada Mous was there to help anyone needing advice.
